Woman Steals & Crashes Pizza Delivery Drivers Car Then Man Who Chased Her Comes Looking For Pizza Guy
  • Rayden Jones works as a delivery driver at Happy’s Pizza in Port Huron, Michigan. About a week ago, he was on a regular shift, when he was asked to deliver a few pies to Port Huron High School. So, when he got there, he left the 2008 Ford Fusion he was driving unlocked and running, while he was delivering the order.

“I was at Port Huron High School and was in and out in two minutes, and in that amount of time she was gone,” delivery driver Rayden Jones told a local news outlet.

According to the Times Herald , a 38-year old woman, who was later said to have mental health issues, hijacked the car and drove off. A man named Kevin Lindke, who was driving home at that time, saw the stolen car driving towards the wrong entrance to the freeway, and thought that something was wrong. He immediately called 911, while following the car’s crazy route.

Lindke saw the stolen car swerve and side-swipe another vehicle before the woman ran off. The man followed her there, too, trying to calm her down and bring her back with him. Eventually, he tried to convince her to stop running and wait for the police to arrive.

“I was just, like, asking ‘Where are you going?’ I’m like, just ‘Come back with me’; she tried to hop a fence a couple of times, and I kind of pulled her back over a little bit,” Lindke told the reporters.

After the police got there, the woman was taken to the hospital for evaluation, and Lindke was later let go. The next day, he found out that the car that had been stolen, destroyed and that it belonged to a hard-working pizza delivery driver, Jones, who would now remain without a car and, subsequently, he wouldn’t be able to continue working as a delivery driver.

This sad realization touched Lindke’s heart and he wondered if he could do something to help the man. Then it hit him: he would give him the minivan he was about to sell.

“I understand taking some hits and having to work through it,” Lindke said, adding, “and how things happen in life really fast and it can get upside down.”

Jones’ manager told him the next day about Lindke’s kind offer and later in the day the two got to meet each other and have a chat. Jones was astonished by the stranger’s generosity and he didn’t know how to thank him.

“I’m not going to lie,” Jones admitted, “I [was] about burst into tears ’cause who does that?”

Jones added that it’s mindblowing that someone would do something like this for a person they have never met, and that he thinks it’s a Godsend.

We are glad that the incident had a happy ending for everyone involved. It is really inspiring to see that there still are generous and compassionate people around us, ready to make each day a little bit brighter.
