Tom Jones Challenges Jennifer Hudson To A Sing-Off And Leaves Crowd Roaring With Song Choice
  • When two musical forces combine, it can be an intensely powerful thing.

The Voice UK is a musical talent search show where contestants compete for the title of The Voice.

They are judged by a panel of coaches. This year’s panel includes Will.i.am, Sir Tom Jones, Jennifer Hudson, and Olly Murs.

Even though they are supposed to play the role of coaches on the show, Hudson and Jones found themselves in a little competition of their own.

But this isn’t the first times Jones has rocked out with a soulful female singer.

He and Janis Joplin went at it in 1969 during an episode of his TV show This is Tom Jones.

It was a performance like no other.

To see two such powerful forces on stage together was absolutely incredible.

And they look like they had the most fun ever.

The sing off between Jones and Hudson started when Murs noted that there have been some fantastic battles so far in the season.

Jones then asked Murs who he would want to see battle if he could see anyone in the world battle.

He said he would love to see Jones and Hudson in a battle. And they couldn’t back down could they?

What kind of coaches would they be if they backed down from a challenge?

And oh lord, Jones’ voice is just as amazing as it’s ever been.

The two beautifully sang from their chairs. They sang one a song titled, “It’s A Man’s Man’s Man’s World.”

The song was written by James Brown and Betty Jean Newsome in 1966.

It reached No. 1 on the Billboard R&B charts and No. 8 on the Billboard Hot 100.

It was ranked as number 123 on Rolling Stone’s list of the 500 greatest songs of all time in 2004.

Jones recorded the song for his 1968 album The Tom Jones Fever Zone.

The lyrics go on to state that the world is dominated by men who created a world where men have become lost and bitter.

The song notes that women are the only salvation in this toxic world that men have created.
