The coronavirus pandemic has left many of us feeling anxious and helpless, but there’s comfort in knowing we aren’t alone.
The outbreak has touched everyone’s lives in one way or another — even celebrities. Stars including “Wonder Woman” actress Gal Gadot have joined millions of Americans in self-isolation. That’s why Gadot figured it might help to give fans a musical hug online.Instagram
“This virus has affected the entire world. Everyone,” she said in a video uploaded to Instagram. “Doesn’t matter who you are, where you’re from. We’re all this together.”
Gadot explained she was inspired by an Italian man who recently played John Lennon’s “Imagine” on a trumpet from his balcony. So, she decided to enlist the help of fellow celebrities to sing the same song separately, but together.Instagram
The video features clips of stars including Kristen Wiig, Jimmy Fallon, Natalie Portman, Sia, Mark Ruffalo, Zoe Kravitz, Maya Rudolph, and Will Ferrell. While some perform a off-key, that’s not what matters. What’s important is their message: we’ll all get through this together.Instagram
In these hard times, it’s important for all of us to reach out and help our neighbors feel seen and heard. Thanks for the reminder, all of you. We’re sending all our love to our fellow humans. Stay strong!
